Yoshi

Yoshi is a sweet boy, about 4 years old, from the Rochester Hills area. We thought he was closer to 6 years old, but the vet just checked him out, and he's younger than we originally thought!

He was brought in as a stray, and when not claimed, he was brought to malamute rescue. We think he might be a Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky mix. His ears and markings look Siberian, but he’s long and tall for a husky. We considered him “mal-enough” and saved him!  He is only about 52# now, but he’s underweight. He’s been with us a couple months, resting and healing. We think that he got bumped by a car on the expressway where Rochester animal control picked him up. His hips were sore, and he wouldn’t eat, so he lost a lot of weight, but is gaining back his appetite now!

He’s very friendly, makes friends easy, seems to get along with kids, and gets along with other dogs once he gets comfortable with them. He’s crate-trained, clean in the house, and even knows how to sit, shake and speak on command!  Yoshi wants to be with the people in his family. He just wants to love and be loved! He likes to be petted, hugged and brushed. His coat is rough right now, but with some good food and vitamins, he’ll be even prettier!  His health is good. He makes friends easy, and just wants a home to call his own, maybe with another doggy friend! We think he’d be okay with cats too, not completely sure at this time.  He has been neutered, and has had his basic shots.
