Drake

Drake is a neutered, 2 year old male. He is a good looking malamute with a large head. He is still growing and his legs are too long for his body, but he will probably grow out of that. He is thin right now (72 lb,) so he gets lots to eat to help him fill out. His has a big, warm, happy personality. 

Drake likes people of all sizes. He is glad to meet other dogs to play with and seems to know fighting just makes things hurt. He even enjoys playing along the fence with dogs he can’t wrestle with. We suspect Drake is friendly with cats, but have not tested him yet. He wants to meet them and he acts like he knows he must be gentle with them.

Drake gets excited when you are setting his food down for him. But, when offered a bite of something from hand he is very gentle. He needs someone to work with him about staying off the kitchen counter, though, too many tasty treats up there! He is a smart guy and is doing better already with my loose supervision. 

He is very good in the house. We believe he may well be a Malamute that would be easy to train. His new family would just keep the training interesting and positive.
