Yukon

Yukon was a 4-5 year old malamute boy from Detroit. He was out of time, no one claimed him, and things looked bleak, but through the cooperation of some fellow rescuers, we learned about him, he was pulled from Detroit by them and brought to us.   Yukon was a "wooly", as he had lots of plush thick malamute-hair.  He loved to ride in cars, all the affection he could get and would gladly roll over for belly rubs! 

Unfortunately, as we began his shot treatment we found heartworms.  Yukon was just not strong enough to make it through the tough treatment.  We are sure Yukon is running free and wild on the far side of the Rainbow Bridge.
